Mask of olive oil and eggs for silky hair

Olive oil for silky hair

Eggs are the most consumed food in the world. This is because they are rich in fat and protein. These nutrients are not only good for our body but also help to moisturize our hair.

In addition, eggs act as a conditioner or, in the case of egg whites, as a remedy to fight oily hair.

In addition, because of its high vitamin E content, olive oil has regenerative and moisturizing properties.  As a result, it offers a lot of benefits for your hair.

Olive oil nourishes the hair and makes it shine. In addition, it repairs the scalp, strengthens the hair follicles to reduce hair loss and promotes hair growth.

Below we share two great recipes. Based on your hair type, choose which one will be most suitable for you.

For dry and damaged hair

Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)

Preparation

  • Put the olive oil and egg yolks together in a bowl and beat until you have a homogeneous mixture.
  • Spread this mixture all over your hair, preferably when your hair is slightly wet.
  • Put your hair in a bun. Cover with a shower cap and wait twenty to thirty minutes for your hair to absorb the nutrients.
  • Then wash your hair with your usual shampoo to remove the oil and egg.
  • Remember to rinse with cold water afterwards to get better results, and to prevent the egg from leaving a mess.

Mask for oily hair

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)

Preparation

  • Mix the egg whites and olive oil in a bowl until you get a creamy consistency.
  • Apply the mixture to wet hair so that your hair is completely covered.
  • Put it in a bun and cover with a shower cap. Then give your hair twenty to thirty minutes to absorb the nutrients.
  • Finally, wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and rinse with cool water.

Banana, egg and honey mask

Banana for silky hair

This mask should be used twice a week for two months for best results.

Banana is known as one of the best natural sources of vitamins and minerals like potassium, zinc and vitamins A, B and C. Therefore, applying banana topically can help to get shiny and silky hair.

Thanks to the main ingredients of mayonnaise (egg, vinegar and oils), this mask also provides an extraordinary source of hydration for your hair. Plus, it can help fight frizz, eliminate dandruff and make your hair shinier.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (30 g)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (5 ml)

Instructions

  • Pour all ingredients into a bowl and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Then apply the mask from the roots to the tips on your hair. If you have curly or very dry hair, pay particular attention to the roots.
  • Cover your hair with a shower cap and let the mask sit for two to two and a half hours.
  • Then wash your hair with warm water.

Note:  some people choose to use a conditioner after this mask. However, this is an optional step. In either case, your hair will look spectacular.

Mask of olive oil, coconut oil and almond oil

Almond oil for silky hair

This mask consists of natural oils that hydrate and moisturize it.

First, coconut oil contains an ingredient called lauric acid, which is similar to hair proteins. In fact, this fatty acid easily penetrates into the internal structure of the hair. This allows it to nourish the hair and make it softer, stronger and shinier.

At the same time, almond oil is a great way to nourish and repair your hair. This is because this oil contains nutrients such as vitamins A, B, D and E. This makes almond oil great for moisturizing your hair and making it softer, lighter and stronger.

In short, this mask helps to strengthen your hair and prevent split ends. In addition, it makes your hair more flexible, radiant, moisturizing and shinier and naturally provides silky hair.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
    • olive oil
    • coconut oil
    • almond oil
  • Hairbrush

Instructions

  • Put all ingredients together in a bowl. When the coconut oil is hard, heat it with steam (au bain-marie) and mix the ingredients well.
  • Using a hairbrush, apply the mixture to the ends of your hair, avoiding the roots. Put your hair in a bun and cover it with a shower cap. Let the mask do its work for twenty to thirty minutes.
  • Then wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and warm water to remove most of the oils. If you want, you can also apply a conditioner and rinse your hair again.
  • Your hair will look radiant and spectacular.
