Ingredients

  • 1 kilo sugar cane
  • 5 green apples
  • 5 pears
  • 10 guavas
  • 2 cups hawthorn (400 grams)
  • 5 liters of water
  • 1 cup tamarind (200 grams)
  • 1 cup prunes (200 grams)
  • 5 teaspoons Jamaican flour (50 grams)
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 kilo of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar (100 grams)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

How are you?

  • First of all, peel the sugar cane and cut it into small pieces.
  • Then you remove the cores from the apples without peeling them. Then cut them into pieces.
  • Do the same with the pears, leaving the skin on.
  • Cut the guavas and hawthorns into cubes.
  • Heat the water, add the fruit and let it sit on low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Then add the tamarinds, plums and Jamaican flour.
  • Then let it stand for a few minutes until the fruit is soft.
  • Pour this drink into a punch bowl and then serve it in tea glasses.

2. Wine cocktail with cinnamon

Ingredients

  • 6 cloves
  • The zest of four lemons
  • The zest of four oranges
  • 1 liter of red wine
  • 1 1/2 cup brandy (375 ml)
  • 375ml water
  • 350 grams of sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

How are you?

  • First, mix the wine, brandy, and water in a large saucepan.
  • Then let it heat up and add the herbs and citrus peels. Wrap it in a cloth, as if it were a tea bag.
  • Let this mixture cook for an additional 10 minutes, then remove it from the heat source.
  • Finally, let it cool and then serve it out.

3. Apple drink with cinnamon and cloves

This drink is especially popular during the holidays and it is made from natural apple juice.

It is best to prepare this drink a day in advance to allow the flavors to mingle. 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of whipped cream (250 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves (5 grams)
  • 4 pinches ground cinnamon
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup cranberry juice (250 ml)
  • 3 cups apple juice (750 ml)

How are you?

  • First, mix all ingredients in a pan, except for the cinnamon and whipped cream. These will be added at the end.
  • Then bring everything to a boil and let it cook for at least an hour.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and then keep it overnight to allow the flavors to mingle.
  • Warm it up the next morning before serving.
  • Decorate the drink with a garnish of cinnamon and whipped cream.
