Face masks against wrinkles – what about that? Wrinkles are expression lines that mainly appear naturally as you get older. They can also develop if you don’t take good care of your skin. This can be due to sun exposure, dehydration, a poor diet, and so on.

These annoying marks on your face, which often appear around the corners of your eyes, are considered unsightly.  That causes many people to worry about getting wrinkles.

To prevent you from getting (more) wrinkles, you must first stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. You can do this through the food you ingest or by taking vitamin supplements. But did you know that there are also facial masks against wrinkles? The following homemade facial masks to treat wrinkles will hydrate your skin and make you feel beautiful. Check them out below!

4 simple face masks against wrinkles

1. Mask of protein

With protein you can make perfect facial masks against wrinkles

Protein is often used to soften the skin, reduce signs of aging and repair damaged skin. Protein causes your blood vessels to constrict and has an exfoliating effect. As a result, protein makes sagging skin firmer and soothes your pores.

The mask we share with you next will help against crow’s feet, wrinkles on your forehead and fine lines on every other part of your skin. In addition, add some honey to the mask at the end. The combination of both ingredients reduces spots on the skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg (63 g)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (21 g)

Preparation

  • Wash your face with soap and water.
  • Separate the egg whites from the yolks and mix the egg whites in a bowl with the honey.

Application

  • Apply the mask evenly on your face, especially around the corners of your eyes and on the most affected skin.
  • Leave the mask on for 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
  • For best results, apply this mask twice a week.

2. Milk and oats

Oats and milk: perfect for your skin

Mixing milk and oats is a great way to maintain hydrated, smooth and glowing skin. It doesn’t matter what type of skin you have. Whether your skin is oily, dry, or a mix of both, this mask is ideal for deep cleansing of impurities and getting rid of dead skin cells.

Oats contain substances that have the power to attack free radicals. Milk moisturizes, exfoliates and cleanses the skin. At the same time, milk stimulates the production of collagen. By combining both ingredients, you can make ideal facial masks against wrinkles.

  • ½ cup milk (100 ml)

  • Wash your face with cool water.
  • Apply the mask to the skin of your neck, jawline and face.
  • Using clean hands, massage the mask in in circular motions to exfoliate the skin.
  • Leave the mask on for 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
  • If you apply this mask three times a week you will get the best results.

3. Banana and Avocado

Bananas and avocados are good for your skin

Bananas are incredibly good for your skin because they contain vitamin C and vitamin B6. These vitamins help maintain the elasticity of your skin. In addition, they act as antioxidants, which means that they fight free radicals in your body. Bananas also hydrate your skin and help repair sun damage. Many facial masks against wrinkles therefore contain banana.

Avocado is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and also contains vitamins A, C and E. It is used by the cosmetic industry to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars and other marks on the skin. It prevents flaking of the skin and keeps it radiant.

Ingredients

  • 1 small avocado (200g)
  • 1 banana (150 g)

Preparation

  • Use a fork to mash the avocado flesh in a bowl.
  • Do the same with the banana and add it to the avocado.
  • Stir it all until well mixed.

Application

  • Wash your face well beforehand.
  • Apply the mask to the skin of your face, neck and jawline.
  • Leave the mask on for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
  • Repeat this process two to three times a week to prevent (or reduce) wrinkles.

4. Aloe Vera

Keep your skin taut with aloe vera and cucumber

Aloe vera contains the essential amino acids needed to keep your skin moist and smooth. It is the perfect ingredient to penetrate deep into your skin. It prevents dry skin and almost all signs of aging.

It counteracts the aging of the skin. This is because aloe vera stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, while keeping your skin healthy and hydrated at the same time.

The cucumber also moisturizes your skin. Cucumber is high in water, as well as vitamins and minerals that have the power to soften your fine lines and repair damaged skin.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams of aloe vera gel
  • 1 cucumber

Preparation

  • Place the aloe vera gel and cucumber in a blender, add some water and blend until smooth.
  • Put the mix in a bowl.

Apply

  • Apply the mask to your face and leave it on all night.
  • In the morning, rinse it off with warm water.
  • Repeat this every week and say goodbye to your wrinkles.
